DOTMOV Festival 2007 es un festival de filme digital que intenta descubrir nuevos talentos y darles un espacio/oportunidad para presentar sus trajos. Los trabajos remitidos son exhibidos en el Soso Cafe durante un mes, evento que es producido por la revista online Shift, del 1ro. al 30 de Noviembre. El año pasado hubieron 267 obras de 27 paises. Todos los trabajos seleccionados para este año estarán también en el sitio web. Durante el festival serán realizados varios eventos relacionados al mundo del audio y video, seguido de un Tour por las ciudades de Tokyo, Osaka y Sendai.

La fecha tope para entrega de trabajos es Septiembre 20.

Las obras deben ser filmes digitales como animación, diseño, o video musical. El formato debe ser videotape (VHS/S-VHS), mini DV (NTSC), o DVD (video format/NTSC o PAL).

No se aceptaran trabajos fuera de esos formatos, como por ejemplo archivos de datos (archivos en quicktime, flash, etc) y casette PAL DV.

Solo se acpetan trabajos enviados postalmente. No se harán devoluciones, así que guarda tus originales por si acaso.

La inscripción es gratuita. No hay premios en dinero en ninguna de las categorias ganadoras.

2. Seleccion

Los trabajos son revisados por Shift y creadores invitados. Unicamente los ganadores recibiran correspondencia noticandoles la selección.

3. Despues de la selección

Los trabajos seleccionados se exhibiran por un mes (noviembre) en el Soso Cafe, con presentaciones en Osaka y Sendai despues. Tambien estaran disponibles desde la página web de Shift desde noviembre 1.

One of the preeminent sculptors of our era, Richard Serra (American, b. 1939) has long been acclaimed for his challenging and innovative work, which emphasizes materiality and an engagement between the viewer, the site, and the work. In the early 1960s, Serra and the Minimalist artists of his generation turned to unconventional, industrial materials and began to accentuate the physical properties of their art. Over the years, Serra has expanded his spatial and temporal approach to sculpture and has focused primarily on large-scale work, including many site-specific works that engage with a particular architectural, urban, or landscape setting. This exhibition presents the artist's forty-year career, from his early experiments with materials such as rubber, neon, and lead to monumental late-career pieces, including Intersection II (1992) and Torqued Ellipse IV (1999), along with three new works that have never been exhibited before. With works on view throughout the Museum and in The Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Sculpture Garden, Richard Serra Sculpture: Forty Years displays the extraordinary vision of this formidable artist, who has radicalized and extended the definition of sculpture. A fully illustrated catalogue accompanies the exhibition.
